Ahead Of Sarawak Polls, Teresa Kok Begs For Donations

Ahead of the Sarawak State Election, DAP through its party leaders have appealed for public donations to aid its candidates.

In a Facebook post uploaded yesterday, Teresa Kok who is DAP’s Member of Parliament for Seputeh said that donations can be channeled to Pusat Khidmat Rakyat Kinrara, which is located in Puchong, Selangor.

“We will then channel the funds to our Sarawak candidates according to their needs and strategies,” she added.

But her appeal was met with a setback, as netizens poured scorn on her party.

Among the feedbacks which was most well received was one from Lee Yee Yuan, who said that DAP still owes Sarawakians RM2,000.

“You still owe each Sarawakian RM2,000. Pay them first, then only ask for donation.”

The comment was believed to be directed at Lim Kit Siang, who in 2016 claimed that voters were bribed up to RM2,000 to vote for the government.

The DAP has to date failed to provide evidence backing such claim.

Another user by the name of Orlando Chan said, DAP failed to prove itself to Sarawakian when it was in power between 2018 to 2020.

“When you all have the chance you all never used it wisely.”

Thomas Tong added, DAP should be donating to the poor instead of asking for donations, as DAP leaders are already millionaires.
