Former UMNO veteran, Datuk Seri Idris Haron has denied being a “katak”, following his decision to switch from UMNO to Pakatan Harapan (PH).
Via a Facebook post today, he claimed that he was only informed of the sacking via the media.
He also claimed that he was sacked by UMNO for fighting against corrupt practises in the Melaka State Government.
Idris is among the four who withdrew support for the state government last month, resulting in snap polls being called.
The other three are Datuk Noor Azman Hassan (Pantai Kundur), Datuk Noor Effandi Ahmad (Telok Mas) and Datuk Norhizam Hassan Baktee (Pengkalan Batu).
Idris and Noor Azman will head into the polls as candidates for PH, while Noor Effandi and Norhizam are contesting as independents.
