Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin has confirmed that Datuk Seri Najib Razak is in Cheras Rehabilitation Centre (HRC), following a statement by the Prison Department stating that the former Prime Minister is not in Kajang Prison.
Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, Khairy said that Najib was first referred to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL), before being sent to HRC.
“Najib was referred to HKL, then treated for his medical condition. He went through a battery of tests.”
“After that he was referred to HRC for follow-up treatments that require physiotherapy, and part of it is to teach him how he can do these physiotherapy (exercises) himself.”
“He will be discharged once the specialist is satisfied, and he will be sent back to Kajang prison.”
However, hours later, Datuk Dr. Noor Azmi Ghazali who is Deputy Health Minister stated otherwise.
According to a report by Utusan, Noor Azmi told reporters that he did not hear of any VVIP checking-in at HRC.
“I did not hear any VVIP checking-in there (HRC).”
“I only know there was an MP who fainted in Parliament and sent to HRC for treatment, in fact I did visit him to,” said Noor Azmi.
