Ahead of nomination day for the upcoming Melaka polls, PKR and DAP have begun blaming one another over the four “kataks” who toppled the BN-led Melaka State government.
Earlier today, Rafizi Ramli appeared to be blaming Amanah and DAP.
“Those who insist on accepting the frogs for PRN (state election) are Mat Sabu and Adly from Amanah.”
“The excuse was they (the four assemblypersons) would be a boost, like how Mahathir supposedly did during GE14.”
He also said that the Amanah’s leaders and those from DAP had during the beginnings of Bersatu, pushed for Mahathir’s party to be accepted as a member of the Harapan coalition.
But DAP’s Bukit Gelugor Member of Parliament, Ramkarpal Singh had come to his party’s defence.
Via a statement, Ramkarpal said that the views of Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim must be addressed.
“Accepting them would be a grave mistake by PH which may result in the wrath of voters in the coming Melaka state elections as well as GE15, which it must avoid.”
Ramkarpal was responding to a recent statement by Harapan chairperson, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim that the four Malacca assemblypersons who defected to topple the BN-led state government should not be looked at the same way as those behind the Sheraton Move last year, as they were returning the people’s mandate.
