‘PKR’ To Work With New BN Friendly Party In GE15

‘PKR’ has announced that it will work with newly-minted Barisan Nasional friendly party, Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) in the 15th General Election (GE15).

This ‘PKR’ however, is not Parti Keadilan Rakyat, but Parti Kuasa Rakyat (Kuasa Rakyat).

In making the announcement at a press conference in Kota Kinabalu today, Kamarazaman Yaakob who is Parti Kuasa Rakyat’s President said that the decision was made because both his party and PBM shared the same principles.

“We are friendly to BN (Barisan Nasional) and today’s coalition government.”

“By combining efforts, we will have renewed strength and can be seen as a major force in national politics,” said Kamarazaman who is also Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s older brother.

At the same press conference, PBM President, Datuk Larry Sng said he was happy that Kuasa Rakyat wanted to work with PBM.

“This is a very positive development. We welcome members of Kuasa Rakyat full heartedly and we want to ensure that there is political stability in Malaysia.”

“We are here to support the Government and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri and bring development to the country,” he said.

PBM currently has four MPs, namely Datuk Larry Sng (Julau), Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin (Ampang), Datuk Steven Choong (Tebrau) and Datuk Mohamadin Ketapi (Lahad Datu).

Larry, Zuraida and Steven were formerly PKR MPs, while Mohamadin joined PBM from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia today.
