Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker questioned why was there no sympathy given to Datuk Seri Najib Razak, especially among Malays and Muslims.
This comes after a backlash over allegations that the convicted former Prime Minister is receiving preferential treatment via the healthcare system.
Taking to Twitter this morning, the MCA Vice President said he did not understand why do Najib’s detractors hate him so much.
“Sometimes I don’t understand the venom of hatred by politicians.”
“There are some who relentlessly want to see Najib be tortured and suffer in prison.”
“Is it not enough to have his mind, body and spirit tortured?
“Where is the culture of forgiveness of the Malays and Islam?”
On Tuesday (21 September), the Prison Department confirmed that Najib was not in jail.
This comes after an anonymous source on Sunday (19 September) exposed that Najib has been receiving special treatment, including receiving RM50,000 to have his cell upgraded.
The exposé added, orders were made to move Najib to Cheras Rehabilitation Centre (HRC), in order to allow Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri and Health Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin cut deals with him.
